The Minnesota Wild currently owe $55.8 million to 17 players in 2013-14

Here's the economic break down: The Minnesota Wild currently owe $55.8 million to 17 players in 2013-14. Woo. With the salary cap reducing to $64.3 million next season, we know they are going to have to be economically efficient in their spending, but that's all right, they can do it.

The Minnesota Wild team has plenty of firepower with a strong top line, obviously like Zach Parise, Mikko Koivu and Jason Pominville, along with those three young kids, Charlie Coyle, Jason Zucker and Mikael Granlund. They would be wise to re-sign Matt Cullen, the player that has had a positive influence on both winger Devin Setoguchi and Zucker.

We just hope the Wild knows what they are doing when they pay out their salary to their players. There is a lot of money at stake here.
