Minnesota Wild re-signs Clayton Stoner and plans Road Trip

In only two days, the Minnesota Wild has released two pieces of exciting news for hockey fans.

First off, defenseman Clayton Stoner’s contract has been extended for two more years. Some skeptics have wondered if the sheer number of injuries he has sustained would make him less valuable, but Wild coach Mike Yeo believes that Stoner remains an important player. This year, he was a plus-3 player and a plus-5 player last season, something that is a major feat for most Wild players. Stoner has also previously been nominated for the Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy.

Another exciting announcement made was that the Wild June Road Tour has been scheduled! There are three legs to the tour, each one with a handful of Wild players, and each leg will visit six cities each over three days before coming together at the Wild Summer Bash in Roseville. It is primarily a fundraising tour, although it also includes autograph sessions and many, many more activities in Roseville. Check it out!
